This 1978 Ford Mustang II is a final-year Ghia coupe that was first delivered in Canada and spent time in Washington State and Nebraska before its acquisition by the seller in 2022. The car is finished in beige over tan vinyl upholstery and power comes from by a 302ci V8 mated with a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes pinstriping, a pop-up sunroof, an AM/FM radio, and a center console with a floor-mounted shifter. The spark plugs were replaced and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. This Mustang II is offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, receipts, and a clean Iowa title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in beige with a black landau roof. Additional equipment includes body-color bumpers, pinstriping, Ghia badges, and a pop-up sunroof. Tears are visible in the roof vinyl which has been repaired with tape, and cracks are visible in the rear bumper. Dents and other imperfections are present around the car, and a rust spot is noted near the rear right wheel.
Factory 13” wheels are wrapped with 185/80 Gillette Silver Bear front and Firestone WinterFire rear white-stripe tires. Braking is handled by discs up front and drums out back.
The cabin features seats upholstered in brown vinyl with matching door panels and a brown dashboard. Other features include an AM/FM stereo as well as a center console with a storage compartment, a rear-seat ashtray, and a floor-mounted shifter. Tears are visible on the seats, dashboard, and center-console cover, and other imperfections are visible around the interior.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 180 km/h speedometer and a tachometer, while auxiliary gauges are centrally mounted in the dashboard. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 31k kilometers (~19k miles), and total mileage is unknown. Approximately 800 kilometers have been added under current ownership.
The 302ci V8 received new spark plugs and an oil change in 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission that was rebuilt in 1998. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery.
