Rice Terraces of Banaue

Hello Steemians! After a busy week, I finally able to make my blog today and it's such a relief to be here and share with you again my painting :) So, I decided to paint one of the 7 wonders of the Philippines which is the Banaue Rice Terraces using Acrylic.

Banaue Rice Terraces is located in the province of Ifugao, Philippines and we call it Hagdan-Hagdang Palayan ng Banawe in Filipino.
The terraces or the flat areas, is where the Ifugaos plant rice and vegetables. The "Hagdan-hagdan" means stairs , as you can see, the terraces form like a stairs. Kudos to the ancestors of the indigenous people in Ifugao for carving it into the mountain amazingly!
There are a lot of visitors going there from different countries to witness its beauty and hopefully I could go there too someday.

Here's my step by step process of painting Banaue Rice Terraces.

Fisrt is I drew an outline.

Next , I painted the first layer.
For the first mountain, I used Cadmium Green Hue blended with Lemon Cadmium Yellow Hue. For the second mountain I used Hooker's Green. For the last mountain I used Phthalocyanine Emerald blended with Primary Cyan, and for the sky I also used Primary Cyan blended with Titanium White.

Third:
I used stippling technique (basic brush stroke) for the 2nd mountain. Then I drew an outline of terraces.
