    We built a several hundred sq mile gigabit WiFi network in the Western desert. Don't know how we managed without this type of device to check our Network cabling to back-haul microwaves. Simple to operate from intuitive menu. The junior tech opened the box in the truck as we headed into the deserts. In moments we answered many networking questions in what most network jocks would call seriously adverse environments. In our application it paid for itself in a matter of hours because it identified sketchy network cable issues vs purchase & chg-out of costly microwave gear. Will update you in a year.

I am a tech who is responsible for hardware, software and some networking (network drops relocation etc) and this tool really makes the job so much easier.     Fluke is certainly known as being the pro tool for electrical and I.T. professionals, and this tool is no exception. It is without a doubt not the least expensive tool in my kit, but it has saved me so much time.
    I often find myself in older buildings with older infrastructure, and you just don't know what's behind those walls, but I have been able to tone out connected cable (InteliTone) determine distance to a break, and even determine that a CAT-6 looking cable was actually CAT-4 behind the wall. (and in one case, CAT-3)
    Identifies the device on the other end, POE Ports, the port number, the VLAN ID and the speed of the run, up to 1gbps. The LinkWare PC software allows you to compile and print results after the job is complete. Especially in older job sites, the LIQ-100-kit is definitely a time saver.

    :-( Fluke you can do better than just having a tester for cable. test the network is the other half of the equation. when it comes to the network once you know your cable is good you need to be able to test the network. you should have one tester for fluke lovers no not want to buy netAlly or netscout I am a fluke guy!!!!
