If your traveling or and EXPAT residing overseas and need an avail stateside number or even more importantly a number that you and your bank can use for verification of banking matters, One Sim Card is the way to go. Not only does this sim card work but the tech support and customer service works fast and efficiently. Its easy to set up and to operate, and when you need help the company has some very knowledgeable support people to help you and they are fast to respond and I have never heard well lets try this, just this is what you need to do, and they will explain things in easy to understand language,. If your unsure of what you need, make a list of what you want to be able to do, go to their website and open a chat session. It won't take long and they will tell you what and how to obtain your goals. They will list avail options but will not force feed them to you or give you a sales pitch for something beyond what you need. Its an excellent company, and excellent product and a excellent experience. I highly recommend giving them a try.

1. Customer service is not 24hours and you may get stranded without support. Support takes several hours, up to half a day to respond. Not good if you can’t get to wifi and need your phone for directions and services in a foreign country, or to call friends or family for help. Very unsafe option.
2. There’s a registration fee then purchase of data which is unjustifiably expensive compared to other options
3. Very confusing to use
4. What exactly is eating up so much data that $100 gets used in one day? There are other, unlimited options for $30 for 10 days. 5. Do your research. Read reviews. Know the terms.
6. Other options have supports and are willing to make things right when there are connectivity issue. This is not the case with OneSimCard.
7. No tracking of data use so one can monitor and manage usage. Other options allow this on their app.
8. Confusing information between website login and app.
9. The app and web experience is substandard to other options

I’ve only been using the card for a few days because my 5 month Europe trip is just beginning. So far the sim is functioning well for text, calls and data. Word to the wise calling w/o the VOIP function telephone number and using GPS (e.g., Maps or Smart Watch) will “eat” up your allotment very quickly. So I’m being more careful to save data by ensuring I limit calls to VOIP only … and not using the Maps functions on my phone. However, I’m training for a 10K and in an online running club so I need to use the GPS function on my smart watch. I tried OneSim on a recent trip to Argentina and Uruguay. I found the setup to be pretty easy and I read the reviews, so I knew to do so well in advance of departure. I really enjoyed the convenience of not having to carry around another device to get a signal or having to go through the work of getting a local SIM. I also found it handy to have a signal on layovers (e.g., 3 hours in Santiago). It was a smooth and easy experience overall and I would use it again.

What keeps this from being five stars: while the signal was generally very good in Argentina, there was one day where I had nearly no access in Buenos Aires and where I received a 'SIM not allowed' error once. I had to reboot the phone several times to get any connectivity. Outside of that one day, however, the card worked as intended, and speeds were fast. In Uruguay, speeds were slower and never got to above 3G, but that was sufficient for my needs.
